A Windwaker Story

"So we are heading back to the island then? I suppose I could wait." he extended Kryys arm. "Keep this a secret from everyone. Do really think those herbs I use really do anything? First Aid." His hand glowed a green color and the magic swarmed around the Rito's arm and healed the burned skin from where it wasn't yet completely normal. "Now. Should we get going?" He said and put his hands on his hips.

(0.0 Wow! I typed and posted all that at like 4 in the morning! I barely remember any of it! I mean, I like what I did! But while everyone else's sounds like a legit RP post, mine sounds more like an exert from a flippen fan fic! .....I might write one now.... Any how, his name is Raurumaru, as in Rauru the sage with an added -maru, a common name ender in Japan. Not sure what it means, but a lot of warriors have it. But I find it funny that you copied the one time I mispelled the name! I typed Rauramaru only once, and that's the one you copied! XD Oh, and about those references, try looking up the names I used! If you can't catch the situational references, then oh well. But the names should stick somewhere like google, wiki, or better yet Zelda wiki!)

"Dragon Roost? Forsaken Fortress!? Random green glows from no where!!?? YES!!!!!" the exasperatingly exuberant lad exclaimed, "And so my grand adventure begins!"
Pulling out a rather finely crafted and decorated cloak from seemingly no where, and throwing it about his shoulders in a fashion rather over dramatic, he turned about suddenly with a starting dash towards town! ...only to stop himself with in a manner of feet, returning to the two off-landers with a slightly embaressed look.

"Ummm! Right! Where are my manners! Ahem........As I said, I am Raurumaru, but most people call me Ramaru, Rama, or for the younger childern, simply Ruru." Finally greeting them with a slightly more controled tone, he bowed respectfully struggling to suppress his anticipation, "I must thank you deeply for agreeing to guide me to Dragon Roost, as such I will gladly escort you to you're destination of choice."

He continued to remain calm through the formalities, however he was quite eager to see where this strange turn of events was heading!

Iris laughed. "That's quiet a mouthful. I'll stick to Ramura. I am Iris Ka-Fai Yggdrasil. This is." The elf stared down at the young Rito. He didn't know them personally, but he would remember a few things about each other them to remember who he was talking about. Atleast, anyone that had came into his 'office.' "The odd colored clothes. Oh. This is Kryys. I suppose its a good thing we ran into you. Neither of us can sail. Well. Should we be off then?" Iris asked extendin his arm towards the docks.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you both." His mind buzzed with so many questions, never in his dreams did he imagine getting to Dragon Roost would be THIS easy, and to be asked to escort some one to the Forsaken Fortress of all places! His calm voice could hardly contain the excitement hiding just beneath the surface!

Looking in the direction of Iris's pointed arm, "Ah yes! My ship, the Talo IV!" His look of "Triumph" returned yet again, "She'll seat 6 comfortably! And will get us to any corner of the charted world in but a matter of days!
Bounding toward the ship with little warning, he stopped only to call out behind him, "Well? Come on!"

He jumped aboard, swinging about ropes and raising sails of varying heights. Opening hatches and sealing crates, moving with seemingly expert percision, it would be hard to believe that this boy had never sailed any farther than Pawprint Isle on his own!

"I guess we should." said Kryys. They boarded the boat and left for Dragon Roost. They somehow made it with Kryys's navigation and Ramaru's sailing. Once on the island, Ramaru took off to look around the island.
"I guess we should start by getting some supplies. There should be some in the store room. Come this way." said Kryys, walking toward the mouth of a cave.

Iris climbed down from the mast of the ship and landed on the shore. "I'm going to go inform the cheiftian of what is going on." Iris said and vanshied before their eyes. The Rito cheif was slithglty startled when the elf appeared in the room suddnly. "Another of those, outer worldy powers?" Iris nodded and told him the story the man from windfall had told them. "I see. This has happened before. And you say Kryys is going to go after the girl." "I plan on accompanying him and a man named Ramura is going to lend us his ship so he will be coming with us." The Rito sighed. "Alright. I was worried enougth about one of our younger Ritos going missing. Can I count on you to watch him." Iris nodded and thinking to himself "With all my eyes. you can count on that." The Rito glanced back at his gaurds slightly and sighed. "It is happening agian. All we can do is wait and hope it turns out peaceful once agian."

Kryys pushed the last crate on the boat. "That should be enough for our trip and a few more days after that." He said. He saw Iris walking down towards the boat.
"I got enough supplies for us. Have you seen Ramaru?" he asked him.

Iris shook his head and glanced over at the boat, coughing into his hand. "Um. You don't need that many supplies. Just enough for you and Ramaru. I..don't eat that much." He said, looking around the island. "He couldn't have gotten far. We should just wait here for him to arrive. After all. You promised he could explore the island." Great, the elf thought. It was going to be harder to explain himself if they ever catch onto his unnatural habits.

"RRRAAWWRRR!" The cry of the mighty Dragon Valoo shook the very sky itself!

"There it is! The Dragon!!" Examining the sizely silhouette resting high upon the mountain.
"But even with my father's gifts it would be an all day venture getting up there and back....."
He pondered this thought observing the noon sun resting high above him. Even leaving now, it would be set by the time they reached the Fortress...

"Well, at least I got to speak with some of the locals and pay my respects to the wind shrines the Chieftain spoke of.....Though I'm not gonna lie....I get sort of an eerie feeling from that place...It was as if the winds themselves had died....but just there....on that little island......in the shade of Dragon Roost.........AAAAACHOOOOOO!!" An abrupt sneeze from a cool breeze disrupted his thoughts. Wiping his nose he then realized the importance of getting to the Fortress as soon as possible.

"Oh man! What am I doing! We can't afford to waste any sun light! The Big Octos come out at night!!" He tightened his favorite blue cloak and fastened an odd blue feather to his signiture blue hat, rushing yet again to get back to his ship, "I hope they let me come back here! I'll meet that Dragon yet!"

He quickly spotted his vessel near the shore, high as he was upon a nearby cliff, and found himself a little embarrassed when he saw Kryys and Iris already prepared to leave.

"HEY!" he cried, jumping down from the high cliff.
POOF! He landed notably lightly on the sandy shore, only to kick up a cloud of sand, "Oofff...." and stumble to his knees immediately after.

Finding himself embarrassed for the third time today, he brushed himself off and boarded the ship acting as though that didn't just happen. Pulling a few ropes and raising a few sails, he asked in a little more relaxed manner, "Shall we then?"

Iris nodded and climbed onto the ship and back up to the very top of the mast, higher then the actual lookout went. He sorta claimed it as his spot, granted only he and Kryys could probley sit up there comfertablly anyway. "I can't see the island over the horizon like I could Windfall. I can see a volcano a ways past it so we should avoid that. Kryys. Are you ready to go? You don't want to mention to your supiriors about your delivery?" He called from the top as the wind slightly picked up from a far off little cyclone. "That's amazing. A tornado over water. Never seen that before." He stood up and leaned out a ways to watch.

"This is too important to wait. They know I'm alive, that will have to do for now." said Kryys. "I guess there's nothing hindering us now, let's set sail."

Iris waved and sat indian style at the top. "Alright. I'm ready whenever you two are." He was slight excited. He hadn't been in a good fight since first coming here. He started laughing, a habit he had gotten from his father in the sight of a mission.

The guards threw Indigo into them into Leon's cage.
"Now you two play nice, you hear?" The guard taunted, walking off.
"What's he expecting us to do, make out?" Leon said to the girl after the guard had left.

(yes. but you wont, you'd be cheating on Celeste XD)

So they set sail. Trusting Ramaru's navigation, they began the long journey to Forsaken Fortress.
"So Ramaru, is there anything interesting on Forsaken Fortress you'd like to go look at?" Kryys asked.

Iris closed his eyes slightly, feeling the wind in his hair. He had never been out to sea before, not even after traveling all over the worlds at home. "You get to do this constantly? I'd love to be out sailing like this. Although I would miss being on land. I'm already sorta upset that you have no forests in this world." Iris blinked and then laughed, jumping down the mast and landing beside the two. "Ramaru. I should probley tell you ahead of time. I'm diffrent then most people you know so If I say somethign strange. Just let me know."

Raurumaru sighed, plotting their course on a chart he picked up on Dragon Roost, "I've had this boat for about a week now. Up untill today, I had never taken her past Pawprint Isle. Of course I imagine she's seen more places than I have..."

He turned to the ship's bow, looking out over the expansive sea that laid before them, "To be honest, just getting to the Forsaken Fortess would excite me! Unlike you Rito's, who are practically raised to believe you can soar away anytime you want, the people of Windfall aren't big on adventure. Most of them live their entire lives on that rock with no care for what amazing things might be out there...If there is a forest somewhere on the sea.......I'd like to see it!"

Pulling up a crate, Ramaru sat himself down and began polishing the sword he called Nakura. A rather old blade, it had a certain brilliance about it. Just looking at it, one felt...possessed...One could only guess it was crafted during an age when such work was considered skillful and valuable, an age when more than steel and heat was put into the making of such a weapon.
"But it's ok Iris, I was pretty sure you weren't from anywhere nearby when I realized you were that winged figure I saw at the top of the lighthouse earlier that morning."

Giving a somewhat forced smile, he looked up at the sails now full of wind, "When I woke up this morning, I knew today was going to be the day. The day I finally set out on my journy......The morning storms cleared, the sea was calm, and the town was in a buzz. Running into you guys was fate! This I know!"

He looked into the faces of both Iris and Kryys, remembering the proud face of his father the first time he had ever sailed upon the sea....the last time he would ever see that man... He had only met them just this morning, but he now felt a certain reassurance. This was fate, Ramaru knew....his father was with him....guiding his every step....


"SO!" putting away his sword and pulling back out the chart, "It'll be about sunset when we finally get there! How about we set up a little Dinner at sea?"

Iris's ear twitched and his face turned red. "Y You s saw that?! Damn it. Baka baka baka!" He hit his forehead with his knuckles and sighed. "I suppose Dad would be embarrassed that my identity was discovered so easily." He laughed and then scratched his face. "I'm not much of a cook, but I can make a decent curry. A good friend of mine sent me some of his own curry spice. It's the best I had once ever tasted." He blinked and dug into his pocket, pulling out a small seasoning container. A smile on his face as he stared at it. "Alright then. Dinner is on me."

Iris smiled and got out a pot. Snapping his fingers a pile of wood that he had built burst into flame and he set a pot of water over it. He then preceded to pull his hair back into a ponytail before chopping up ingredents, rubbing his peirced ear ever so often. It was getting cruddy from the salt in this worlds air.

(You realize that A: Leon's TWELVE!!!!!! B: Celeste existed some thousands of years ago, correct? And don't tempt me. YOU gave ME permission to codmod your character, did you not?)
"Meal time," the guard called, entering Leon's cage. As soon as the door opened, Leon lunged at him, punching him in the face.

Indigo gasped as the guard staggered backwards and started shouting. Soon about a dozen guards pinned the boy down and hit him over the head hard. She cringed as they dragged him away, muttering to each other about solitary confinement and restraints. She slumped to the floor. Great, She thought. The only one to keep me company here gets dragged off on the first day.

"LOOK!" cried Raurumaru, his face still covered in Iris's exceptional Curry, "Mother and Child Island! Ahhh...my Mom use to tell me stories of that place all the time... Like how it's impossible to enter from the sea, and how beautiful glowing lights can be seen shining out on certain nights, and how some people say it's really just one big door to the hidden world of the Faries! ...Man, how crazy would that be to explore? Just one more spot I'll have to come back to sometime during my adventure!"

He looked forward at the approaching Fortress, now clear against the horizon. He felt a sudden surge of excitement, he was ready to begin writing his own tale.

"Faries? Arn't those just myths.." Then he chuckled. "I guess only in my world they are." He stared up at the top of the isle as they passed it. "You should get a Rito to take you up there or something. Bet you could fly right over the top." Iris laughed to himself thinking that he could fly up there himself someday to see if the legend was true. His ear twtiched slightly and he climbed back up to the top of the mast and folded his arms. "The sky is suddenly getting dark. The sun shouldn't be going down for a few more hours." He looked down at the other two. "I suppose this is why people call this palce forsaken?!" He asked.

"It seems to radiate evil... Like the presence of the demons and monsters never left..." said Kryys thoughtfully. "Not that it'll stop me from going in there. So Ramaru, when's our ETA?" he asked.

"By this point?" Ramaru answered observing at the ominous clouds, "we're pretty much their......."

The winds began to blow quite strongly, and in no one direction either! Raurumaru grabbed the wheel and pulled as hard as he could, having no prior experience sailing such dangerous waters!

The closer they got to the island the more dangerous it became! With rocks and reefs all about them, it seemed like there was no way they were going to make it through!

Iris frowned and jumped down, putting his hand on Ramaru's shoulder. "I'll take care of the rocks if you can get us there in once peice with these waters. And you keep this a secret from everyone." He walked towards the front of the boat and held out his hand. "Ray!" A large magic ball formed above the ship and destoryed the larger rocks that were in the way of the ship.

"Wow." said Kryys in awe. "You just gained like 8 points on the respect scale..."

About 5 minutes later, the boat was anchored at the dilapidated old dock. Kryys stared warily up at the tall structure, wondering where the prison cells would be located. They started up the building, and noticed something strange. There were no guards, no monsters, no anything. All they could hear was the crashing of the waves on the rocky shores.
