A Windwaker Story

"I'll get the next shift."

As they set up camp, Raurumaru remained silent. Thoughts of his father's stories raced through his mind... Exactly what had he gotten himself into? Was he really up to this? Could he really help these people whom he promised to help?.....he just wasn't sure....even as the night went on, shift to shift....he couldn't sleep........

Iris sat down on a small ledge close to Ramura's bed. "I want to thank you. i don't belive I properly have since you lent us your ship. I understand your fear from ealier." Iris laughed, fiddeling with his ear. "If it makes you feel any better, there was a time I ran from battle. I'm sure in time you'll get over that fear."

Staring up at Iris, he couldn't help be reminded of his little Sister....a memory he has long since tried to forget...

"Thanks Iris...I'm sorry I failed you guys today....I promise....I swear...Next time? I'll do better!" a look of determination came across his face. Some where deep inside, a new resolve was formed....

"Good to know. My shift, Iris."

Iris glanced over at Leon and laughed. "If you want." he said and stood up, walking over to a small area with a three triangeled shape on the ground, kicking away some sand to study it.

"What ya got there?" Leon called.

Iris knelt down and moved away some more left over sand. "Not sure. I think this may have been the room for worship or something." Iris rubbed his chin. He had seen this symbol in some of the older arcitature and books on the surface.

Leon walked over. "The Triforce... Well, it's to be expected. This is a temple, after all."

(I'm so sorry I've been grounded from the computer! I'm on my dsi but I think I still have a day or so.....)

Iris laughed. "Well excuse me for not being knowledagble in your world's symbols." Iris blinked and then laughed. "Well. Cat's out of the bag now, but Kryys already new that." The elf laughed, standing up and kicked more of the remaining sand around.

"The Golden Sacred Power....." Raurumaru began to mumble. "The greatest of all treasues....the most powerful of all relics.......an adventurer's dream...." looking up at Iris and Leon.

"My father use to tell me stories of such legends and myths. I don't know if it's real, but my father would always tell me about a lost kingdom who's soul purpose was protecting that artifact........that was what my father seeked.....and so.......so to shall I......."

"Good luck buddy. It isn't called a sacred object for nothing. Din'll probably smite you when you're an inch away."

"Din doesn't exactly have a history of smiting people Leon. And my people don't seek after the triforce, we don't need power. As long as we have the sky, and Valoo to guide us, we'll be fine." Kryys told them.

Iris rubbed the crystal attached to his chest. "An item of great power. Do you suppose the ones that kidnapped Indigo and the other girls would be searching for this. I can't see any other reason to come to a temple other then that." Iris walked along the wall of the place.

"It IS an impossible to find temple on an inhabited island."

"The triforce could probably assist them in their plan to eliminate the Hylians. Although I don't know if it's located here. I wasn't taught any of the Hylian legends..." Kryys told them. He looked around the room, and spotted something odd. It seemed to be a loose piece of flooring. He lifted it up to find a staircase leading down.
"I think we may have found a secret hideout guys!" he yelled over to them.

Iris glanced over at Ethon, who was fast asleep. He lifted the teen onto his shoulder and walked over next to Kryys. "There's alot of light down there for a hidden passageway underground in a cavern that is already underground. your probably right." The elf stood up. "Anyone want to go first?

"I will..." said Raurumaru, his sword now drawn. He slowly moved down the stair case, feeling the moss along the walls. He was slower, carefuler, more dilgent with every step...

Ethon mumbled and slipped off of Iris's shoulder. "Where are we going?" he said, wiping sleep out of his eyes.

Iris smiled. "We are heading futher down into the temple. Most likely where the person that has summoned these monsters are. I didn't feel the need to wake you so let you sleep." The elf laughed slightly and stretched his arms. "The question is." With a serious look on his face, his multi-colored eyes narrowing slightly, "what will we find down here."

"I guess we'll find out." said Kryys, climbing down the stairs. Everyone followed suit.
As they climbed down, they began to hear voices. Kryys put his finger over his mouth to motion quiet. He strained to hear the voices coming from the room below.

"Sir, I believe we've located it." said a low, rather nervous voice.
"Good. Take me there immidiatly. Station 15 guards by the prisoners, I don't want any escapes while I'm gone." said the evil voice from before.

"Not to worry, sir. We've not lost a prisoner yet."
"You mean BESIDES him, correct?"
"We prefer not to speak of him, sir."
"Him?" said Kryss.
"I assume that refers to me." Leon said, beaming with pride.

Gripping his sword firmly, "We'll get nothing done simply sitting hear and listening. Action must be taken." Ruarumaru's voice had certain seriousness to it. It was clear he had no interest in dawdling, which was odd for him. He continued down the steps carefully.

Iris's ears twitched slightly and he stopped. "Whatever is down there is defiantly something that has magical abilities. I can sense their mana, easliy suffocating down there being this world's magic ability is slim."
