A Windwaker Story

Somewhere in the Bowels of Hyrule, Espe had a convulsion in his grave.

The elf grinned. He wasn't completely blind to love when he saw it. "So a kiss already? I must say, you got your first a lot faster then I ever did." He laughed and straightened back up. "Then again. I suppose my situation is different." He laughed, stretching his arms.

"ALRIGHT!" Raurumaru jumped from his perch on the ship. "It's do or die time! We've got a friend down there who needs us! So tell me! Are you ready? Have you the guts for this mission! Cause I can pretty much promise you this temple will be guarded 10 times as much as it was last time! So I ask you, ARE YOU READY?"

As much as he'd like to believe he was "rallying the troops" in reality, he was saying all this to steel his own nerves. Even now, he wasn't really sure if he was ready.

He pulled his sword from its sheath. He felt a certain energy running through it. His own confidence, his own ambition. All of it, concentrated in this blade. He new what he had to do, what his father wanted him to do, and he was ready to do it.

Iris raised and eyebrow and folded his arms. "That doesn't mean to get cocky now. I'm glad to see you have fighting energy and arn't going to freeze up in battle. But if you guys barely escaped last time, then this isn't a light matter." Iris blinked and then held his hand, waving his hand laughing, "I'm sorry. I seem to be becoming more like my Dad everyday."

"Alright, let's go." said Kryys entering the temple. "I say once we get down there, none of that sneaky business, we go straight into the fighting. We need to get Leon, and then beat Morgano, and stop him from getting the triforce."

"Lord, it's time." a guard told Morgano.
"Ah finally. Today will be the day we finally rid the world of those terrible Hylians!" he said.
He descended down into the holy chamber. He instructed the guards to stop the intruders at all cost, no one would disturb him today.

Iris fiddled with his ear. "Ya know. Anyone has yet to tell me what exactly happened or what's going on." He sighed and chuckled. "Oh well. Guess I'll find out soon enough." He held a smiled but his crystal was aching slightly. There was defiantly some dark energy down here and he wasn't liking it.

(Only the near death of your comrade, Worry not.)

Iris stopped a moment. "Wait a second." He, moved through the group up front, his eyes scanning the area. "Last time we came down here, there was light." He said, indicating how the stairs grew dark up ahead. With his back turned aginst the group, he lifted his headband a bit and then lowered it. "They are waiting for us." He spun around grinning. "I say we give them a en'lighting' welcome shall we?" He turned back around, his hand twitched with sparks and he held it out. "Lightning!" Bolts of lighting shot from seemingly no where and struck a few shadow guards and torches, causing them to burst into flame and the awaiting assault could be seen.

"I smell burning things. Sounds like they're winning."

Ethon looked away. He wasn't used to this. He felt so useless too. He couldn't fight; he didn't have any sort of weapon. He couldn't do anything about it now, so he figured he'd wait until later to worry about it.

As the rest fought Iris came over and sat on the step beside Ethon. "You seem discouraged." He held up his hand and burst a guard into flame that tried to come over. "Have you ever used a sword? Pick one up from a gaurd and fight if you feel it."

"Alright," he said, a little distracted. He grabbed the simple silver sword resting on the ground. It had small flecks of blood on it. Looking around at the battle, he noticed that the movement of the spirits of the guards seemed quicker than their actual body. Focusing harder, he noticed this about his allies as well. A smile spread across his face. Just then, he caught a movement in the corner of his eye. Instinctively, he ducked. His attacker's blade whizzed over his head. Straightening up, he saw the transparent arm thrust towards him, and he dodged the attack before the blade got there. The sword felt awkward in his hands, but he managed to land his blade in the side of the guard. The wound wasn't deep, however, and the battle went on.

Iris let off another spell. "There ya go. See, I'd help but these stars are too narrow for my weapon." The elf kicked a guard in the face and he stumbled down the stairs. "Just remember. if you can see their souls, then aim for the anchor point."

Ethon nodded. He quickly located the brightest spot, but instead of being a perfect white, it had spots of black. He stabbed toward the guard's heart, but he must have made it too obvious. He felt a knee in his stomach. His sword went flying. He couldn't breathe, and he layed there on the ground, helpless.

Iris tossed the gaurd down the steps and lifted Ethon onto his knees. "Yo. You alright? That was a nice strick, you just weren't fast enough. You might want to try and get them from behind." He placed his hand on Ethon's gut. "No damage here. Just knocked the wind out of your frail body." Iris laughed and helped him up, setting the sword back in his hand.

Ethon smiled, but he was still breathing too hard to say anything. He leaned against the wall for a few moments, then dashed back into the battle.

Iris rubbed is chin. "Lets see." He held his hands over eachother, palms facing. "This might help. Heads up guys. Field barrier!" Shinning polygons of sorts formed around each of the fighters. "It only lasts so for long so make good use of it!"

"DIE!" A rather disturbing seriousness could be seen both on Raurumaru's face and in his movements. The motions of his blade were far from elegent, more like vicious. He wasn't just here to save Leon, he had other things in mind.
He tore through the shadows, not as guards in the way, but as mortal enemies whom he blamed for his farther being taken away from him. The more he slashed, the more his blade began to resonate with his energies.

With Iris's Shield now over him, he went even more all out. He wasn't trying to get past the monsters, he was going to make everyone of them perish. For some reason, years of emotion poored out. He couldn't stop, he didn't want to stop.

Iris laughed. "Take it easy Ramura! I might be stronger but I have only so much magic capability before I need to rest." He said, reading himself to cast another shield as the man was quickly wearing it out.

"You'll be the one burning!" Morgano cried. "Gaah, I must go find the Triforce. Guards, don't let them get the boy."

A few minutes after Morgano left, the group burst in the room weapons drawn. It wasn't much of a fight, seeing as the two unfortunate guards had been playing poker at the time.

"Poor guys. They never stood much of a chance." he said as Kryys cuts him free. "Thanks. Find my claws?"

"Here you go." said Kryys, tossing him his claws. "Had em upstairs in a case that was locked. It wasn't fireproof though!" he smiled at Iris. "Leon, are you to injured to kick some Morgano?"

"I'm never too injured to payback." he said, catching the claws and placing them on his hands. "Let's get that."

Iris laughed, ruffling Ethon's head. "I suppose Morgano is the man that's got your all trouble." The elf pointed out. "I'm going to be honest. I did use alot of magic back there, and this world is different from home. I will mostly stick to healing magic for here on out if I possibly can, so hopefully I won't have to burn anything else. Speaking of which." Iris grabbed onto Leon's arm, "Revatalize." He chanted and Leon's wounds healed till he was almost new, then followed after Kryys, Ramura and Leon, who led the way.
