A Windwaker Story

As they progressed through the murky dungeon, they found more and more creatures like the chu chu, progressing in size and power.
"Dang!" said Leon after helping defeat a large skeleton called a stalfos. "Don't these monsters get weaker?"
"Guess not." replied Kryys.

Then all of a sudden, a large booming voice came out of no where.
"So noble, a band of rescuers to come save a pathetic race." said the voice in an evil demeanor. "You will never succeed! Attack them my beast!"
A looming shadow descended over them, and there was a loud roar.

"What the heck?" looking up into the shadowed from wence the roar came, Raurumaru wasn't sure what to do! Run? Fight? Dodge! He had never come up against something this big before! Not on land at least!

Iris blinked and then glanced down at his feet. "When did sand get in.." He poitned towards the wall. "Ethon. Stay back there. Kryys. stay back as well. Leon, me and Ramura can handle this." Iris stood beside their captian. "You look a bit flushed. Never seen anything this big before?" Iris laughed and steadied himself. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you guys. Anyone know its weakness or something or do we just keep stricking it?!" The elf asked, his group and friends now faced with this huge worm like creature or dragon of sorts.

Ethon tried not to panic. But he could see the sand rising up from the floor, and knew that sooner or later the sand would fill up to the top. "You could attack that blue light."

(to avoid confusion Ethons seeing it's soul. no one else can see it )

Kryys stepped up with them.
"I can fight, I didn't come to save Indigo and not expect a fight." he said. He drew to swords out of hilts on the sides of his belt.
"As mailmen, they train us in combat just in case." Kryys told them. "I can take this thing"

Iris grinned, "Well. I apologize then." and his eyes scanned the creature. "Ethon. I don't see a blue light that you speak of." He walked over to the small teen. "What and where do you see it?

"It's right by it's head, it's really bright." Ethon looked at Iris with a curious look on his face. "I don't know how you'd miss it." He turned his gaze back to the giant wormlike creature. The blue light was brightest around the head, but it seemed to travel through it's entire body. The light also formed an outline around the creature. He looked around at everyone, weapon in hand, actually able to do something about this. He felt useless, but it's not like he could really do anything to help.

"It almost sounds like mana. But then I would be able to see it." he smiled and put his hand on Ethons shoulder. "Thank you. That was very helpful." Iris made a dash towards the creature. "I'll distract him. Ramura, Kryys, Leon. If I think Ethon can see its weakness then go for the head!" The elf stopped suddnly and held out his hand. "Grave!" Large earth spikes jutted through the monster's tail, causing it to turn it's attention towards him while the others striked.

"Sure, go for the head of the thing that wants to eat us." Leon turned around to see a bow with one arrow. "Guys, keep the head from moving! Let me line up a clean shot!"

"I......I don't know......are these...are these the kind of things my father faced?" He was frozen, he knew what to do, but he couldn't....

As a child Ramaru was told tales of such beasts, but never has he ever faught anything larger than a Moblin. This creature was of truly mythic proportions...

Slowly sinking into the sand beneath him, his own quivering words were the only thing that prevented him from collapsing under his own fear of the monster, ".......Father......"

Iris put his hand on Ramura's shoulders. "Its ok Ramura." The elf acted quickly, casting a sheild to block its tail bashed into it. "You come from a small island. I understand if your afried. To be honest. I'm not so confident myself. I'v never fought in this sorta situation before. If you have to, stay back with Ethon and we will handel it." He said, lifted the younger man out of the sand.

"Hello? Guys? Stop having a heart to heart and fight this thing!"

Kryys took to the air, sword in hand.
"Leon!" he shouted. "I'll draw it this way, and try to keep it still. Think you can get a shot?" Kryys began slicing at the worms massive neck, but it was as fast as him, and just as good at evading.

"I hope so! Now fly, birdie boy!"

Kryys managed to get a good swipe at the beast, and left a deep cut in its flank. It seemed to be stunned momentarily from the pain.
"SHOOT IT NOW LEON!!" Kryys yelled.

Leon hesitated for a second, his mind racing. "If I shoot, I miss. If I miss, we die. If I don't shoot, we die." He let go of all his fears as the arrow shot out of the bow. "If I don't shoot, we die."

"Yo Leon. Don't miss now." Iris teased, knowing that they weren't really going to die if he missed, but alittle pressure might make him aim straighter.

The arrow pierced through its head, and it shrieked loudly. It writhed around, then fell to the floor and exploded in a cloud of dust.

"I- I did it..." Leon said quietly.

Iris laughed. "I suppose I wasn't much use." The elf chuckled as he checked everyone for wounds but appeared to be fine. "So now what?" He asked as everyone gathered in a circle.

"Well, I say we keep going. Resting in enemy territory is a bad idea under almost every c*Navi*m I can think of."

Iris shook his head. "If anyone wishes to rest, head back to the ship and take guard. I pesonally, can keep going. We need to find your weapons still don't we? And what happened to the person with that voice before the monster appeared. And still haven't found anything about Indigo." The elf pointed out, folding his arms. These people were mostly young teens, excluding Ramura and himself and maybe he was pushing them.

"I can keep going for awhile, but it'll be a long walk to the back to the ship when i tire."

Kryys landed on the ground.
"I say we take Irises advice and make camp. Who wants first shift?" he asked them.

Iris cleared his throat and tapped the ground with his foot. "The sand seems to have drained away somewhere. I'll take the watch. I'm not tried." He said and then smiled. "Atleast its warm in here right?"
