Hyrule Field's 1st Annual Ball

Daltus stopped midcharge. "If you do not have the crystal, who does? If you tell me now, I will let you leave calmly."

It was then that the Butler-esque man could be seen trudging down the sewer pipe to see where these voices were coming from.

Upon seeing Daltus and these odd people, Reginald kind of laughed, "You know, there is a front door! While this IS suppose to be invite only, the Host has seemed fairly leaneant on account of him forgetting who all was invited in the first place."

Gus had just been wiped down, he couldn't help but sneeze a little as he did so. But despite all the crazyness that went on tonight...he was...happy! He enjoyed it! And certainly didn't regret coming.

"Whooh, glad we got that done!" the flour was now completely cleaned up. With the exception of what little still remained on peoples clothes.
"Huh...seems things are starting to die down..." he looked up at the tree and smirked, "Well, no major losses tonight! Looks like some people are already starting to leave..." He looked around once more, "Well! I'd say tonight ended well!"

"We don't know! We saw someone -a place garud- jump ou of the window and relized that the crystal was gone, so we jumped out after him and chased him." Cornelia said.
Asia was making hand signs and Dimetri was translating for her to the gaurds with the same story.

Silver noticed Link sit next to him, and his fanboyness took over, Silver saying in a flurry: "OMGYOURLINK!THEHEROOFTIME!THEONEWHOSTOPPEDGANONDORFWITHJUSTYOURMASTERSWORD!!!

Crystal stopped Silver's fanboying by saying: "oh Silver~" she said flirtatiously. "Oh my Crystal.." Silver said, kissing her on the lips.

Menroe walked over to the window and Ankh walked over, carrying Gus. "The night is coming to a close. The ball will probably end soon." Ankh rubbed on of Gus's ears. "Maybe. I don't see this thing lasting all night. Probly 3 or something." His ears twtiched as he put his hat back on his head. "But the night is the best time." He complained.

Link was a little shocked my Silver's elation! But once he realized he was just complimenting him, he smiled. "Hehehe, always glad to help."


Kain was going over some numbers in is head, making sure he hadn't gone over budget what with all the side tracks.
"Well, the only major loss is that it's pretty much gonna go down in history that the Hylian Star Diamond went missing! I mean...of course we can always deny what the guests saw and bri.....buuuuut that would kind of defeat the purpose of that whole 45 minutes operation."
He saw Menroe and Ankh speaking over by one of the windows. He approached them to ask if they had enjoyed the night.
Though he felt a cold air as he did so...

Gus froze! ...something in there air wasn't right...it was cold...and he wasn't about to try and find out.
He mumbled to himself as he closed his eyes and let Ankh just hold him, "It can't see me if I can't see it...It can't see me if I can't see it..."

Reginald continued, trying to sort out the issue, "Well, you really didn't need to soil yourselves running around such a filthy place. Daltus here is captain of the Royal Guard! So I wouldn't worry about him, but how about I personally escort you back into the ballroom?"

Cormelia thanked him. "Oh thank you! We were just trying to do the right thing!" And the trio were lead back to the ball. It took them a few minutes, but they eventually found Sebbastian and Vivi. Dimetri came up to them and kissed them both on the check. "My friends..." and the rest of the conversation was in a different language, but even if you understood the lanuage, they still talked in code.
When a plan was explained, everyone nodded and got into positions. They always wanted to pull off this kind of hoist.

Martin walked around, hoping to get a glimpse of Vivi at least. "I wonder where did she go? She is a lovely lady.." Martin said, almost worrying.

Daltus had been thinking as to what to do about the stolen diamond. By this time, he had figured out that there was no point in staying in the sewers, so he calmly walked out, Kyrin tailing behind. His armor was covered in sewage, and would have to be washed by hand. He arrived back at the ballroom, trying to find the thief. Out of the corner of his eye, Daltus saw something sparkle inside of Sebbastian's pocket. Without thinking, he ran straigher at him and pinned him to the floor. "I know you have it. Give it to me now, or I will have you killed!"

Dimetri looked at Sebbastian. "Opperation start." he muttered and ran to his post. Sebbastian sighed and pulled his black coat closer around him. He jumped up onto a Chandaer and thanks to Asia, all the lights went out, except the candles on the chandelar.
"Ladies amd Gentlemen! It causes me great distress to ruin this magnificent party, but unfortunately I must make an anouncement. I have your crystal." Sebbastian lifted the crystal high in the air. "And I shall use it to resurrect the Dark Lord Gannondorft." Gasps and drawn swords could be heard through out the hall. "Of course we still need one more ingredient." A circle of arrows provided by Dimetri formed around Zelda. "Your Royal Highness we need you as our last ingredient. But before you make your decision, let me just point out that the gaurds have locked down the entire palace and unfortunately a gass line has been broken" Thank Vivi for that one. "And now I leave you with your choice: Come with us, or let everyone in this hall DIE!"
Imediately, several people tried to open the doors, but an electric shock traveled up their bodies. A force feild prevented people from going out the windows. This of course was done by Vivi and Sebbastian. Some people were coughing and a few were colasping from the foul gass and there was so many gas lines, it was impossible to tell which one was leaking.

((BTW Sebbastian has no eyes and toung, so he communicates through thoughts))

Martin, Silver, Crystal, Joseph, and Natalia drew there weapons.

"Mind if I help you kind people?" Martin asked, holding his Rapier closely.

"Sure, but try and avoid getting in the way, I don't want to be responsible for any pain to you." Silver said.

Then the group landed in front of this villain, and Martin dropped his rapier and said horrified: "V...Vivi??"

Of course Daltus wasn't going to go without a fight. Quickly, he climbed up the curtains, out of sight by most. He managed to jump on top of a smaller chandelier near the room's corner. From here, he could easily jump to each and every one of the other chandeliers. "Kyrin, you go distract him. I'll try to cut the lines on the chandelier he's standing on." "Got it." Kyrin said. The small fairy picked up an unlit candle on the small chandelier and threw it at Sebbastian. "Hey, over here!" Kyrin flew around, trying to get Sebbastian's attention, while Daltus jumped to the big chandelier and tried to saw through the ropes holding it up. He knew it would be dangerous, but it just might work.

(WOAH MW! I thought my counter planning behind your planning wouldn't mean much cause no one even noticed the crystal being tampered with, much less stolen. But I'm glad I did what I did! AND NOW I GET TO SHOW OFF REGI AND KAIN'S GOD MOD POWERS! =D)

Link immediatly brought out his hookshot, firing it and swinging over just enough to catch Zelda and pull her out of harms way. "You ok?"
Zelda nodded, still a little stunned and not sure what to say!

Kain stood there for a second...a little confused. Then...he started chuckling, then laughing! With in minutes he was literally rolling the floor, almost choking from the gas, he was laughing so hard.

Gus closed his eyes and somehow fell THROUGH Ankh's arms! He had become completely intangable, and quite frankly, just plain wouldn't move!

Kain stood up, "You hehe, you hahaha! You HONESTLY think that's the real Star Diamond!? WHOOOOOBOY! You really think they're gonna LEAVE it out like that after the LAST time it was stolen! Though I'm not gonna lie, you were pretty close! You stole it just a half an hour after it was swtiched with that fake you now hold in your hands! The Real one? Some where about a 100 feet under!"

Reginald approached Kain, "Sir, a SLIGHT leak has been found down by the kitchen. We are currently working to repair it."
He looked up, "Uhhh... An issue Sir?"

Kain was still laughing, "nooohhahahhahaanoha not at allhhahahaha!!! Not at all! Dooooood! We timed our change soooooow well!!!! Oh my god! BEST BALL EVER!"
He then wiped a tear from his eye as his face took on a smooth and confident look.

"You've crashed my party, scared my guests, and cost me more money than I want to pay. So ahhh.... I think this constitutes a bad ass fight right about now?"

By the time Daltus had finished cutting the chandelier's ropes, he had heard the news about the fake star diamond. He was glad, but by then, it was too late to be happy. The hugh chandelier came crashing down, luckily not hitting anyone. Since the candles were still lit, however, they set the nearby curtains ablaze. The carpeting was also engulfed in flame, creating a ring of fire. This all made escaping from under a heavy metallic flaming light fixture all the harder. Daltus tried his hardest to get out, but he was slowly drifting into unconciousness, thanks to his wounds and the smoke. "Holy Hyrule! Daltus!" Kyrin shouted. Strangly, Sebbastian was away from the crash, and was unharmed.

Menroe noticed it must be later then she thought. She had no idea what was going on, and felt actully a bit spaced out. Ankh on the other hand was crouched down, trying to gently push Gus, who didn't move

Without thinking, Kyrin raced into the sea of fire, and managed to drag Daltus out, just before he would fall unconcious. Daltus was severely weakened, but he still knew he had to make up for what happened by helping in the fight, in spite of all of the burns on his body.

Meanwhile...

By now, the plumber that previously went on a drinking spree woke up. "Gah, how long was I out? God, my head hurts." He looked at his surroundings. "Hot damn, that's some powerful punch!" He noticed how everyone was preparing for battle against a strange man with no face. "It's about time some action happens." He put on his classic mobster outfit and brought out his .45. "Alright, people! Time for Mario to bring the noise!" He jumped straight into the fray, shooting and reloading all the while.

(I'd like to make a note here that Mario is obviously from modern times. I'm gonna use him as a character and I'll post info on him in the Registration Desk later on.)

Sebbastian rolled his eyes at the attacking people. He had a protective field around him so that no one could get him. This plan was working perfectly.

The moment the location of the real Star Diamond was revealed Vivi began making her way to the one of ten underground rooms of the place. Then she heared Martin. Vivi shot a look to Asia and Asia knocked down a pillar that was by them.

Cornelia and Dimetri waited by Zelda, waiting for the next signal.

Link grabbed for Zelda, casting Nayru's love all the while to protect the two of them from the two captors trying to keep her.

Kain smirked, "Sorry, a decade of training in the ancient arts say nothing is unbreakable."
He dug into his pocket, pulling out a single orange rupee, "100, more than enough."
He flipped it about in his hand, approaching Sebbastian with his normal smile. He placed a corner of the rupee on his shield, and then brought it down like a piece of chalk on a chalk board. As he did so, the rupee slowly dissolved in his hand. But sure enough, a large slit was cut in the barrier. Kain didn't enter, he didn't even try to attack. He just smiled his regular smile.
"Who says you can't buy victory? I do it all the time!"

Gus was only becoming more and more scared. He trembled and shook, refusing to open his eyes. He remained but an almost see-though hologram, sitting huddled over on the floor, "Make it go away....make it go away....make it go away!"

"Ah! There we go! Completely fixed!" Reginald watched as the blue rupee disappeared in his hand, the pipe it was touched to now completely repaired. He heard some one run by, quickly and quietly, and with quite a bit of skill. Any regular "butler" would never have noticed such a stealthy runner, but Reginald was a seasoned veteran of the sneaking arts. The result of having once been one of the most famous thieves of all.

Ankh curled around top of Gus, purring and Menroe just staired, completely confused. She had no idea at all what was going on.

Vivi ran into the thrid deepest basement to find the star diamond. Finally! Vivi chanted something under her breath and the crystals from her face formed around the diamond and brought it over to her. Okay now she sent a blot of energy to Sebbastian, who kept one of her crystals with him. The crystal glowed in his hand, and Sebbastian gave his next speech.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, your princess has obviously chosen all of your deaths, so...." Now although the pipe was fixed, the gass was still in the air. It was a heavey gas so it stay low to the ground, away from the lite candles on the Chandeler. Which was a good thing, since the gs was highly flammable. Asia saw her que and dropped the match. The gas ignited and a flash of light blinded everyone for a few seconds. During that time, Sebbastian put down his force fields on the exits. Dimetri banged Link at the back on his head and he released Zelda. Cornelia grapped Zelda and the two jumped out the window with Sebbastian, Dimetri, and Asia.
Vivi jumped through the sewer exit and Sebbastian put back the foce field and escaped into the forest. When they reached the middle, Sebbastian released the forced fields on the palace and placed a new one around a good 10 yards around them. The field prevented people from seeing, hearing, and entering the area.
Cornelia dropped Zelda and Dimetri entered Zelda's personal space.
"We need to have a long personal chat princess." he said.

Menroe sunk on the ground, holding her hands over her head. "Bgi brother. Please." She was in a paralyzed state, reliving the memories from when the fire in the cafe killed her brother and scared her body.

Ankh frowned, rubbing his tail and ears. Cat like instincts forced them stiff on end when the explosion happened. The ends had caught on fire and singed a bit black. "Chi-san isn't going to like this." Ankh licked the end of his tail. "It hurts." And stood up. "Come on Gus." He turned into his cat form and jumped out the window, running after them and saw the barrier and smiled." Good thing I'm not a person." He meowed, hearing that it was so 'people couldn't see or hear inside it.' and walked through the field, jumping up into a tree and sat, listening.

Surprisingly, the old man was already there.
"No my good man, WE need to have a chat." a slit opened in the field as Reginald slipped through, quite cross and upset by this point.

"Master Kain is currently repairing the damage you have done, an easy fix with our lost art, but a costly one none-the-less."
He pulled several blue rupees from his pocket, holding them between his fingers.
"If that is how it is you wish to play, damaging the halls and bank statements of others, then you will have to face me!"
The old man's movements suddenly became near unseeable.
He seemingly warped between Cornelia and Dimetri, tripping both of them with a steel pole pulled from no where. Just as they were about to recover and possibly counter attack, he threw a number of daggers, pegging them to the ground.

Zelda was panicing all the while, but she couldn't just stand there! She had to do something! She pulled he arms together in a slow fashion, conjuring a barrier to protect herself. "I don't know what you think you can use me for! But it's not gonna happen!"

Kain, about ready to cry, poked at his nearly empty rupee bag, "Hhhhhuuuuuuuhhhhh, why? Why would some one do that? Soooooo muuuuuch colateral daaaaaaamage!"
The ball room was in perfect condition, as if nothing had ever happened. Many of the guests were refusing the leave, others were already gone and searching for the attackers.

Gus had incased himself in the shadow of a near by curtain, absolutely horrified at the thought of leaving this spot.

"Okay geezes" Dimetri said. He just sat up, tearing his clothes from the daggers. "We just wanted to talk to her." Sebbastian handed the old man the diamond and everyone else threw down their weapons. Dimetri stood and gave a bow. "I am Dimetri Sunlord. Thats Cornelia, Sir Sebbastian Trancy, Asia, and Lady Vivian Fox. We are all people who were wrong by thoses with power and money."
Asia bowed. "I was taken when I was a child and train to kill. When I finnally escape, they attack everyone who gets near me."
Sebbastian bowed. "I spoke out against the noble who own the manor I worked at and had my tounge and eyes ripped out of me."
Cornelia (finnaly freed from her dagger trap) bowed and remove the banages that covered her faced to reveal red and blue skin what faded into bone. "I was sold to a circus and was laughed and abused at for 10 years."
Vivi curtsy. "My family was a rich noble family. When a stronger family asked for my hand in marriage I refused. They killed everyone at the manor."
Dimetri walked over to Zelda. "and my father spoked out against the crown. He was killed and I was left fatherless at the age of 7. My dear princess, we are not bad people. We never intended to revive the Dark Lord. We merely wanted to tell you this: We steal and rid the world from those with power. We give whatever profits we get to thoses less fortunate than us. Of course if Hyrule is in trouble, we will come to help. But when Hyrule is at peace, we will rid the world of thoses who abuses the power they have.I shall not kill you, for you are kind, but let yourself be warned: make one false move and we will come after you."
Dimetri did the whole rupee trick and entered her force field. He leaned in and kissed her lighly on the lips. This really meant nothing, he does that to everyone he gives a warning to. "Goodbye my dear" and just like that they were gone.

Martin wanted to see Vivi one more time, and he looked around where she had disappeared. "*Sigh* It seems all the pretty girls disappear later on.." Martin said sadly, holstering his rapier.

"Well everyone, our work here is done!" Silver said, getting everyone to cheer.

(Hmmm... interesting how that plays into Reginald and Kain's back story.)


"Hmmmm... Yes... What terrible fate. If only they knew." Reginald was surprised to see the connection he had to some of these young people, but really not THAT surprised. He was sort of getting use to seeing his past catch up with him.

Zelda lowered her barrier, still uncertain of what all to make of this, "What was that all about?"

Reginald looked up at the stars, "Ahhh... It must have been a good 50 years ago that the schism in the thieves guild occured. When power was passed to me, I decided we had enough influence in the kingdom to better it's standing. A thief can't steal from the poor, so I used my power to help make Hyrule the wealthy Kingdom it is. However, many of my cohorts disagreed with my use of our funds and abilities. The guild was split, between those you sided with me, and those who sided with him... It was only a matter of time before assassination attempts were made. As punishment, I removed their blood from the guild, as well as their ability to use our arcane art."
The old man fiddled with a very old and some what chipped looking green rupee, "Some of those children are the pride and joy of that man's twisted vision. While I doubt he's still alive, these rich crime families that he sought to create have done nothing but cause pain and agony for those they touch. Creating more twisted families, that only serve to create more twisted families."

Kain finally found them in the woods, hearing part of Regi's old tale, "Money is a very powerful thing, it can be used for good and for evil. In the end, we of the Thieves Guild use our skills and arcane arts to better the people of this kingdom. Trust us Princess, those kids are just confused and unsure. With people like us around, it's only a matter of time before the corrupt fall."
