I don't know what to tell you... This happened to Jad, but Jad's gone now. If I try to tell you how to fix it, he might see it. Oh what the F@#$ am I doing, he can probably see me typing this now.

BEN didn't like me.
He didn't like playing with me.
I upset BEN cause I didn't play 'by his rules.'
But that was ok, he had other toys to play with.

These were the things he was constantly reminding me when ever I had to turn my laptop on. I couldn't go online at night any more. The time between the twilight hours was the time our worlds were closest. Confronting this menace at night meant confronting him on his own playing field. The last time I did so I swore I could hear him breathing right next to me.

Sleeping became a ritual. If I wanted to sleep properly I had to play my usual anti-creepy pasta play list. Oh TTGL, the irony of the anime's soundtack's 108th placement on my list made it all the better. Whether it was the nature of the show, the music, or just its ironic placement (perhaps even my own strong belief in it) the play list always put me to sleep properly. However, to forgo my will strengthening sleep ritual meant leaving myself open for the worse kind of nightmares involving death in a strangely elemental since. Burning in a ring of fire, electrocution by a bolt shot right through me, but the drowning was the worst as I was held under by some force and the darkness prevented me from seeing what was happening as I flailed.

I once made the mistake of sleeping with my computer on, so as to avoid the fight I would have to go through just to get it on and under my control. The nightmare I experienced that night was of the highest caliber of realism I had felt in a very long time. And realism plus nightmare equals no fun at all.

BEN made it perfectly clear I wasn't high on his list of people to F@#$ with. It seems he messes with some people more so than others. But I was certainly pissing him off by outsmarting him, and once he's finished with who ever his 'other toys' were, I was no doubt next on the list. I couldn't allow that. I had to stem the plant while it was still young.

I encoded it twice. Once in base64, once in derp. Translating base was as simple as googling or wiki-ing. I could only hope they caught my reference and realized what I was really sawing. I hope BEN doesn't pay to much attention to what goes on in the internet.

Eykon used the translator to see what 64 had sent him. What he got was highly disturbing. It was late at night, so after he decoded the messages, he closed his laptop and went to sleep. Mynh was already asleep on the floor at the foot of his bed, because she preferred it. She was sleeping soundly, so he thought he would be all right. He was very wrong.

When Eykon's eyes opened up, he was in a forest that was black as pitch, but the sky was an eerie crimson. He could see a red light shining distantly in between the trees. A child's voice echoed through the sky. "don't let the red light touch you. Never let the red light touch you..." Eykon started running as the red light drew nearer to him. The girl started laughing as he tried running. Branches and brambles were impeding him, so he tried to fly. Bloodied hands outstretched from the trees and grabbed Eykon all over, restraining him as BEN's statue appeared all over. The red light drew closer as the girl started to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", with a hint of insanity and paranoia in her voice. The words were dragged out and they echoed as the light drew near. Soon, she changed the lyrics. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star...how I wonder what you are...The light is so near...and now you are gripped by fear...You should have stayed away from BEN...now you will understand when..."

"Let go of me!" Eykon struggled. Half coagulated blood started to pour in bloodied globs out of the multiple BEN's eyes. Ghosts and demons started pouring out of the trees and open air as the light drew closer, closer, closer...Eykon shouted as the light overtook him. He shut his eyes tight, and when he opened them again, BEN was sitting atop a creature so terrifying to Eykon, he instantly tried to get away. However, no matter where he went, BEN and the creature would be there. He tried to fight back, but to no avail. A mysterious song started echoing throughout the entire world.

It started to get louder and louder in his head and his vision started blurring and moving in slow motion; a trail of what he was seeing was following him everywhere. The footsteps of the creature were echoing around, and it was almost deafening. He took a few staggering steps forward before the bloodied hands caught him again, and a Dead Hand popped out at him, and started eating him slowly. It saw something and got scared, hurrying away, leaving Eykon laying on the floor, bloodied and beyond horrified. He was lucid now as he saw BEN lean over him, holding a knife with that same expression he always had. He brought the knife down...

"Eykon?! What's the matter?!" Mynh was furiously shaking Eykon, trying to get him to wake up, but he wasn't, even though he was yelling and thrashing violently. She was glad that the walls were soundproof before, but now she wasn't. She needed help. Even though it was dark in his room, she could still see because of her dragon eyes, and as she ran for the door to get Eykon's mother, she thought she saw BEN standing in the hallway right next to the door. She couldn't go there with BEN right there. What was she going to do? She decided to be brave, as BEN couldn't actually be there...could he? She tried to not look at the hall, but she couldn't help herself. This time she saw a face, a creepy, little face. It was white. She got closer to it, and she could see its body that was previously hidden in the shadows. The body was gray. She tried getting closer to it, but long tentacle-like fingers extended from it and grabbed her. Then it was right up to her face. She screamed bloody murder, and fainted from the shock.

In the morning, it was Eykon that was trying to wake Mynh up. "Mynh! Please, awaken!" He said, lightly shaking her. She came to rather quickly. There were dark bags under both of their eyes, indicating that they both had a terrible night. "I am so glad that you are ok." Mynh just started crying.

After the two got their bearings, Eykon laid face-down on his bed, too tired to want to do anything, but too scared to actually want to fall back asleep. Mynh logged into HF's chatbox.

Kurisu smirked at the screen with a partially sinister smirk, almost sickening, as he left yet another forum reply, rather encrypted yet so easy to understand.

Kat logged onto the HF chat and read all the posts she had missed. She groaned. More disturbing things. What does BEN want? Why is he doing this? Has being trapped in a world of living corrupted him? That’s how evil spirits are born. When they’re trapped on this planet, refusing to let go of something from their life. …Eventually insanity takes over them and they become something like BEN.

“I hope 64, Eykon and Mynh are ok…” She said.

Suddenly she heard something out side. She stood up from her desk and peered out the window.
BEN stood in her yard staring straight at her.

Kat felt her heart skip a beat and she ducked down under her window. A few seconds later she peeked her head up just enough to see out of it. Nothing out of the ordinary was there.

She sighed a sigh of relief and turned around to go back to her laptop. When she did BEN was on her bed, with that same creepy look on his face.

Kat screamed at the top of her lungs and, without thinking; almost insticntivly, grabbed her green pillow from its spot on the floor and threw it at BEN.

BEN immeditly disappeared the second the pillow touched him.

Kat fell on her bottom and hugged her knees as a few tears started to escape from her eyes.

After she calmed herself down some she went into the kitchen, opened a cupboard and grabbed a containor of salt. If BEN was going to show himself again she would be ready. “I just hope it works…” She said.
