Hyrule Fantasy

I facepalmed when 64 did that horrible accent. "Ai Carumba...64 es estupido..." I said in my head, completely in Spanish. "Well, This horse has taken a liking to me, I noticed." I said, letting Brio nudge me to pet him.

Cally had taken on with Deku's weather converstion (I will not repeat what she said, but it made my skin crawl) Until 64's big mouth opened. I smacked him on the back of the head. Cally how ever, just matter-of-factly replied, "I have not an idea what the Princess thing, person is but Lon Lon Ranch has been in the family for generations!" AT this point of time, she began to glare at 64. "And if by Malon you mean Great Great Great Great Grandma Malon, Her will stated that the ranch is to never leave the family, so Ma and I run it."
I nodded. That actually was a good answer. Cally began to turn her attenion back to Deku, but quickly added, "I thought ya'll were foreigners, but since you knew about Grandma Malon..." She shrugged. "I guessed y'all just read da book."
During all this I quickly muttered to Silver, "Fine just don't come to me when you get arrested"

I snapped at MW's hand as if to bite it, and I assure you had she done it again I would have, "Book?" I continued on with my old accent, partially enjoying myself out of boredom, "Little lady, I assure you I've done more than just read books! I know this here land like the back ah my hand! It's just been a few years since I've been about..... So we movin or are we gonna keep flappin the gums?"
I laughed to myself, noticing how much I sounded like my uncle Ken who still lived in Houston. I'm gonna piss SOMEONE off with this sooner or later.

I noticed that Brio started to cover his ears from 64's accent. "Damn...you don't like Southerners that much, do you Brio?" I said to comfort him, and he gave me a loud grunt. "Hey! Who are you?" Said a little voice that was all to remembered. "Is that...Navi?" I asked. "Yes! How did you know my name?" Navi asked. "Dunno, guess." I said, lying with a straight face.

"Please stop with the accent." I muttered/begged. Cally (obviously annoyed by all the questions) just explained, "A few decades after the Great War, schoalrs wanted any first person accounts on the Hero of Time. Grandma Malon told her grand daughter to turn in a written account of the two times she had meet the Hero. It was published in a offical history book, and some dang writer thought that the two had a fling with eachother and wrote a romance book on it. It consider a classic."
"Even here there are fan fictions." I muttered. I turned to Silver and saw Navi. s*Navi*t?damnitis!ummmmmthat odddbutbecool....waitwouldn'ttisjustmakeSilvermorecocky?
"Hey there." I said, starting to sound depress again.

"Hello!" Navi said, circling MW, trying to cheer her up, but only just made he look a little more sinister. "Well then...Oh, hello M'am." I said, in a more annoying southern accent. (No joke, once you hear my southern impression, cover your ears, or your going to be dead from it.) Isn't their a Stable were Ey I could put ma Horse?" I asked.

"Lord save me!" I cried.

"Wow. then you wouldn't stand my family. Mom and Memow still have their acceents and you can easliy hear it if they talk and I'm on the phone." I looked up at the sky. "Well. Let's see. We slept till about 8. That temple must have taken you guys till maybe 10, 11?" I looked in the distance, trying to remember the TP map. "I think we should go to the ranch. "We would have to cross the fields and remember...the bridge will be destroyed I think."

I whispered that part. "I don't think you guys have the strength to fight anymore today. We aren't Link after all." I said and tapped Deku's shoulder with the back of my hand, "Think she likes you." I said sarcastically.

I had lost all interest in everything else at the site of Navi. Do fairies really live that long? Should she even be in this game? Interesting... And as much as I would love to have a fairy of my own. Odds are she would be following Deku more than anyone, eeeeverything seemed to happen to Deku.
Not that he wants it, poor guy. Either way, "Well! We going or what! I'm getting fidgety, so lets go! I wanna see Lon Lon Ranch!"
I mumbled under my voice with a laugh, "I spent way to much time there as a kid NOT to get to see it now."

At this point I didn't know what to do. MS wasn't shielding me form Cally, and Cally did want to back down. I guessed I should just open myself up to this Cally girl. Cally made me think of Malon. Malon made me think of ranches. And Ranches made me think of horses. Last but not least, horses made me think of music. Music. I wanted a flute... Maybe there'd be one or two for sale in Hyrule Market, I'd just have to get time from the others. Or i could make one. But flutes are tough to make...


I got off my train of thought that had already added another 5 miles on its endless trip. "So wait, where are we headed, again?"

Cally had been yapping away and didn't notice so I answer the question. "Lon Lon Ranch and Menrow, that doesn't happen till after the Fire Temple."

"I thought it was before the twilight.." I mummbled and decided best to keep quiet.

GOD, DOES SHE EVER SHUT THE F@#$ UP!? The voice in my head screamed. I started to back away form cally even more, now walking right next to MS. My emotions on her went from embarassment to crush, to annoyance. I mean, I can stand flirting, but only to a limit time-wise and how well/much it's done.

I folded my arms, frowning slightly. "I was thinking about staying here instead of going home. But if the actual people are like her. Nevermind." I sighed and looked over at Silver, pushing my glasses up," He's trying to hard. Mw is just annoyed. 64 is getting bored." I smiled, "And your getting irritated. Want me to kick her for you?" I said, picking at the MS on my wrist.

"Stop picking at that cut, or it'll never heal," I muttered at MS.

"Gotta do something. I already bit off all my nails.." Pulling my sleeves over my hands, ashamed and folded my hands behind my back. "Sorry. I get shes annoying but, I'd be slightly flattered. I mean, no ones ever flirted with me before." I stuck out my tounge, "Maybe if its all that annoying I'm glad." I could see the ranch coming into site. At least, I assumed it was. Then agian, you know what happens when you assume.

I set Brio outside, and hoped that tomorrow would be better. "Brio, remember to shout if trouble arrives...if it would ever come dammit." I said, mumbling as if Brio completely understood me right now. "Well, I guess I'll go back, and hope things get better." I said to myself, looking up at the birds overhead.

Cally ran up excitingly to the ranch, shouting, "There it is!" all the way. Everyone picked-up pace too. I think we all turthfully were glad that the walk was over. I guessed that Cally's shouts allerted her mom, since outside was a angrey looking woman, holding a pitch fork. "CALLY!" she screamed. "IT'S PAST 4 O'CLOCK! YOU KNOW THE MONSTERS COME OUT BY NOW!" For a moment, Cally actually cowarded a bit, then quickly regained herself.
"But Ma! We got ourselves some guest!" she complianed. Her mom huffed, "Obviously." Then her mom seemed completely over it. "Hiya! I'm Ida, proud owner of Lon Lon Ranch and....." her mom trailed off and stared for a moment. "MY HORSE!" she shrieked, and faster than what I thought was possible, she hit Silver in the head with the flat side of the pitch fork. Silver fell off the horse and Ida must be bipolar since she totaly went all cute ans sweet on us.
"Sweetie Pie! I missed you!" She cried as she hugged and pet the horse. It sorta cute- wait no she's back to neing mad. Ida picked up the pitch fork and did the whole neck between the spike thing to Silver. The worst thing was the fact that I forgot to yell, "Told ya so!"

I gulped hard and said with my most nicest tone: "Sorry M'am! I would of never thought it was your horse since it came to me!" I was almost ready to pull of a complete Italy once I said: "Please don't kill me! I'm just a ordinary person! I have relatives!"

I sighed an decided to save his sorry butt. I hopped down from 64's back and walked (I still have a small, but barely noticable limp) over to Ida. "Hiya I'm Midna." I said as I held out my hand. When she didn't take it, I just lowered it like it was nothing. "My friend Silver there is prideful, cocky, and doesn't denied stealing your horse. As much as we would both like for him to be dead, he's the only one that can fish among us, and I truthfully adore meat, so would you mind not killing him...yet."
Ida must have caught my driff and she removed the pitch fork from Silver's weak point. "Well," Ida sighed, back to being cheerful. "If y'all like meat so much, why not stay for the night?"
I smiled back at her. "We would be honored." It's times like theses when I believe that spending 6 years of my life being taught by nuns was a good thing. Ida told Cally what rooms she want us to use and everyone seemed relived at the idea of being able to sleep on a bed. I help Silver to his feet (that hurt, a lot) and muttered into his ear, "You own me." and we were lead away into the ranch.

Happy page 30 everyone! (Is that a record?)

"I wonder if Link slept outside on his travels or if people offered him homes. I mean..stupid, its a game, he never slept., but this isn't a game so he had to have been real." I sorta started talking to myself walking over to a gate to watch the horses running inside. I'd seen a few when I still lived in Antwerp, but never so close. I pushed up on my glasses and stepped back slightly. Not wanting one to snap at me or something.

It just happened that Menrow and I have the same habit. "Nice place....ooooooh horsey......nice home" The house was rather nice, it looked like a traditional southeren home except that their was picture after picture on the walls. As we walked down a hallway, Cally stayed by Deku. She eventually led us to what must be traveler's bunks. The bunks reminded me a lot of this girl scout trip that I took once. We slept in a cabin with row after row of bunk beds with a bathroom at the end. Standing by the door Cally said, "Right y'all super's in an hour, why not wash and rest yourseleves up!" Then she took Deku's arm and pulled him over to her. She pointed to a door futher down the hall and said, "That's my room right there Deky!"
I rolled my eyes and flopped onto my claimed bunk. Yuck!

I Had the "You owe me" stuck in my head as I followed behind. "My My, Shamelessly flirting with Deku? Meh, not my problem..." I thought to myself, laying on my bunk.

I could tell Deku was slightly annoyed and pushed up on my glasses, pulling Deku back slightly, "We are just passing by you know. Leave Deku alone please." I said, having followed them up to the room also.

After getting the grand tour of the house, I decided to take a walk outside while the others prepared for dinner.
Already having yelled at myself for feeling.....emo earlier. I decided to boil all my upset feelings to me just not being as awesome as I would have hoped to have been in a Zelda setting. So what would I do to fix this? I would GET more awesome! And as mountains of anime has taught me, you do this through TRAINING!

A bare stone wall on the otherside of the ranch seemed the perfect victim for my various slashes. Being quite fail at sword play, I successfully damaged my own clothes more than the wall. But I was beginning to get the hang of it, it was all about balance and speed! Right? I don't know, I was swinging a hunk of steel at a wall. But if it meant NOT dieing and finding my way home, I'd do it!
