If the guy that made LotR did a Zelda movie, it'd come out great. But not by M. Night Shammallamadingdong. I'm done with him and his craptacular movies.

IKR!!!!! signs, Lady in the Water, The Last Airbender, all sad attempts at filmmaking. Peter Jackson or James Cameron or even Andrew Adamson would be a good choice. (he directed "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and "Prince Caspian".)

he also did Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Big Fish, and more recently, Alice in Wonderland. hes a freak, but hes still a damn genius.

I think special effects would also be important. the only reason people like 20th Century Fox so much is because George Lucas was able to blow 70s kids away with Star Wars: Episode IV. Someone like him on CGI duty would be a good choice in my book.

But they both SUCKED. Neither of those games really had that much of a story to them. Zelda is a different type of game. Like a baby, (an epic, action-packed, adventure-fantasy game baby) the simple idea of a movie is the basis of raising it. If you do a good job, that baby will grow up and become an amazingly kickass video game adaptation. If you f*ck up, it could end up like the Super Mario Bros. Movie (Thou art shall never again be named.)

I would be elated if they made a LOZ movie, as long as it's not the prank trailor, that was just terrible. Link looked nothing like himself, the guy they used was three kinds of ugly. But, if a legit movie was made with some good actors that fit their roles, I think it would be INCREDIBLE and make a lot of money at the box office. I'd probably see it three+ times in theaters.

The bogus trailer got me all excited but you're right, the guy playing Link was 3 kinds of ugly. (I was willing to overlook it for the sake of the movie)

I'm thinking of an actor, who's played a blond elf, and did a darn fine job of it...but I don't know how he'd do as the Hero of Time. Better pick someone else.
