The New Year's Eve party

"OW! Not teh ear Dusk!" Acherail shouted.

"Heh, can't take a hit, can you ya little crybaby?" Dusk exclaimed.

Then the cloud fight started to unleash black and white orbs that flew into teh sky ocatinoaly.

"Take that back!" Archerail demanded.

"Can't deny the truth." Dusk replied.

As the Deku sat down, he began thinking. He kind of felt a little lonely, and this party was going to go on for a week. And he wasn't planning to spend those 7 days all alone! He got up and timidly walked back into the crowd, looking for someone else who could also use a friend. All he could find was a tall man in a red coat with blonde hair. He jolted.

"EDWARD?! EDWARD ELRIC?!" he shouted as he approached the man, but it didn't take him long to realise he was wrong: the man was way too tall. not only that, when he turned around, his face was nothing like the alchemist he had met a month or two ago. His heart sunk a little, but he still approached the man to apologise.

"Ahh, so you found a love, Nova? Is she pleasant?" Leo asked. "Nevermind. I don't want to be nosy. How have you been recently, other than the two new kids?"

The man in the red coat had to kneel down in order to see the little plant-like man that had just walked up to him. "Ah, I'm not this Edward person you speak of. I'm sorry." he said. Deku could notice that his teeth were just a little sharper than normal. "But you are the first person that talked to me today. I like that. My name's Gename, what's yours?" He asked. He reached out his massive hand and touched Deku's forehead with it.

"I've been rather busy with them since my lovely wife is in and out, but both of them are very good mages." Nova siad before he noticed one of the orbs in the sky. "*sigh* Not again..." Nova added before he summoned a spirit. "Go seperate those two before it gets even worse." He commanded the whisp.

The whisp simply nodded, and flew off to fulfill it's orders.

"They're qutie a handful sometimes... they're always getting into fights over just about anything..." Nova mumbled.

He was rather confused by the gesture. And shocked, for that matter. "M-My name?" No one except Gename had spoken to him so far and actually had asked for his name. He looked around to make sure that Hylian wasn't near. "W-Well... I share a name with another guy here. My name is Link. And for some reason, I-I keep ending up here, even when I try to go back to my homeland..."

Leo let out a laugh. "I can tell! Well, you're managing so far, right? That's a good thing."

Gename smiled softly. "Ah, I apologize. You see, where I come from, touching someone's forehead is how we greet each other. It seems everyone wants me to touch their foreheads because I'm a demigod. Haha!" He laughed. "In all honestly, I don't do that of my will very often. But since I want to be your friend, I can make an exception." he smiled again.

The spirit soon reached, and broke up the fight.

"Ssssssssstop it you two, now, both of you are going to explain your misssssssscheif to your father." The spirit said as it lifted Dusk off teh ground and fleww off with him.

"So he finaly gets to get chewed out." Archerail said before summong his own whisp and flew off behind the other riding it.

Ankh took Chize's arm. "I've swear I've seen him before." Ankh complained, his eyes fixed on a silver tail. "I wonder where the plant kid went. I hope the dog didn't hurt him." Ankh said and then Chize started pulling him. "Hey hey! what are you doing?" "I'm hungry." "Oh." Ankh grinned his kitty grin and held tightly onto Chize's arm. "Hey. Can I get a drink?" "Are you 18." "No but. Tee would let me!" "She's younger then you." The raven haired teen said and sighed, seeing the begging in his violet eyes. "Alright." He walked over to a table and found a bottle of sake, the only drink he would let the gaurdian touch, before sitting at a table, and pouring two shots.

"Ssssssssire, I brought them to you." The spirit said before fading away leaving the black and white eard trouble maker to his father.

"Dusk, I told you to avoid getting in trouble!" Nova scoulded him as he brought him to his feet by his white-colored ear.

"Ow! Stop, that hurts!" Dusk shouted.

"It's about time you get a good harping Dusk." Acherail said as he dismounted and dissmissed his whisp.

Nova soon let go of Dusk's ear. "leo, these are my two sons, Dusk is the one who was just scolded with the inverted color ears. If only he wasn't so mischevious... and the other is Archerail, who's the well behaved one, but he gets that from his mother." Nova said.

Deku jolted. A demigod wanted to be friends with him! "Th-thank you!" He bowed, not even sure if that was the correct response.

"Well then!" He patted the top of Dusk's head gently. "He may not look like you, Nova, but he's got your attitude!" He chuckled.

Dusk was rubbing his ear, while being a little embarresed from being patted by Leo.

"He does act a lot liek me, but he doesn't have the power I do." Nova said before letting out a laugh. "Archerial's the one who can do what I do, but he acts more like his mother, but weilds the darkest of dark magics." He added.

Gename chuckled. He heard the yapping of that little white dog, and looked over to see it making a beeline for Deku. He grabbed the little plant person and stood up quickly, putting Deku out of the dog's range. Deku was amazed at just how quickly Gename could react. "What is that little white thing?" He asked.

"That was a dog. for some reason, they like to chase our kind down and treat us like chew toys or something. It happens to me a lot." He rubbed his head. "That was some good reflexes!"

"hoo boy," Leo sighed, then his smile returned to his face. "Self-taught?"

Ankh spit up his drink slightly. "ITS BACK!" He said and climbed into Chize's lap. "Ankh." "Get it out of here!" "Ankh." Chize grabbed the teen's face, turning it to face his. "You are bigger then it." "But." "Ankh." "Chi-saaann." He complained and noticed someone else taking care of it....sorta. The guardian growled and hissed slightly in his throat still. Chize took a drink of the sake and turned Ankh to redirect his attention.

"Chi-san. Talk to me!" The older teen stared at him and Ankh lowered his ears. "But..these people...and dog." The older one grabbed Ankh's face and claimed his lips, forcing the sake into his mouth with his tounge. He pulled back and sighed. "How drunk do I have to get you?" He said, looking over at the dog.

"Not entirley, but I've only helped him with the summoning of spirits, but as for controling them, he's a prodigy. He's also the chef in our house, and he gets food made very quickly too!" Nova said.

"Dad, you're embarrising me! Stop it!" Archerail said before starting to blush.

"Looks like I'm not the only one to get pointed out here." Dusk said with a smirk on his face.

"Just shut up!" Archerail barked at Dusk.

A Hylian man with brown hair, orange eyes, and wearing a white labcoat which was open, and wearing dark gray tunic and pants along with black boots widen his eyes with excitment when he sees Gename and the small Deku.
"H-hello, my name is Professor Jergo." The man said as he approched them, his right eye twitching.
"Oooh! And what do we have here?" Jergo said as he took Deku out of Gename's hands.

He got scooped out of Gename's hands and right into the professors hands. He wasn't sure who the person was, so all he did was make a simple, "Hello."

A bar fight broke out again. And it was a big one too. And guess who started it? Sebbastian. He looked a little drunk and all the people he was fighting looked sobber. Dimetri placed a few rupees on the fountian side. "I bet he'll lose." Cornelia rolled her eyes and set out her own amount of rupees. "I bet he'll win."

"Dad's clearly lost in talking about Arch.... again, so I think i'll jsut slip away..." Dusk thought to himself before taking advantage of his father's bragging to slip away into teh crowd.

"Hey! Dusk! Wait!" Archerail shouted before chasing after him.

"What do you want?" Dusk said as he creeped through the crowd till he reached a clearer part by Angel.

"Why are you sneaking off!?" Archerail shouted at him.

"He's too caught up in talknig about YOU, and I'm not gonna sit and lsiten to it." Dusk replied.

"Hey! A fight! I wanna join." Ankh squirmed in Chize's lap. The teen glanced in the bottle, "How much have you have.." He slid out of the lap and dodged people running away from the bar. "You guys are...hic..loud. By..Ras I'll kick..umm,,all your butts!" Chize grabbed Ankh's arm, pulling him back. "Your drunk." "Your cute." Ankh said, poking at Chize's face.

Gename snatched Deku back into his powerful arms. "Please don't take my friend. He's the only one I have here." He said politely. Deku was feeling a little like a ragdoll, being tugged back and forth like this.

"You know, plushies aren't expensive..." Deku said in a daze after being snatched all about.

"Oh but please! I just wanted to study him for a second and get a blood and hair sample from him! I've never seen a Deku this close before!" Jergo said to Gename. Then suddenly he let out a loud gasp.
"O...o...OH MY GOD! Your eyes and teeth! I've never seen anything like Them!"
Jergo sticks his hand in Gename's mouth and opens it to get a good look at his teeth.
"So sharp! I must have a blood and hair sample of this wonderful specimen!" Jergo exclaimed excitedly.

Deku tried to make a blank stare. "...Deku's don't bleed... they're plants..."

Gename felt compelled to close his mouth, but he decided against it. He was getting rather annoyed. He tilted his head back so the scientist's hands would slip out. "I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't do that again, thank you." He said.
