the new Wii: Wii U

what do you think about the newest nintendo system, the Wii U? coming out probably by christmas
we know a a lot about it now and I want to now what you guys think of it. Here Are some youtube videos giving some info:

Personally, I think its pretty good. The graphics are going to be better than the Xbox 720, though this doesn't mean the games will all have better graphics. The only things I don't like is the controller is more like the xbox controller, and personally I always like the gamecube and wii better than the Xbox and Xbox 360. Also it looks like its gonna be a lot more pricy than the last systems. I also hope they don't make it to gimmicky like some DS games. I do like how the the Miiverse stuff and all the features on it, such as it being a TV remote. I also heard that they might make a super smash bros that is for the wii U and the 3DS, and that they can play with each other.

Their ipad-ish remote looks pretty impressive too.
With the fact that you can turn around all over with it and it shows all 360 degrees of the game. I'm just blown away.

The 3DS does that too, and it came out last year. But I digress. The Classic Pro Plus, I think that's what it's called, is an optional controller, not a main one, and yes it's kind of similar to an Xbox controller, but since the Gamecube era, most controllers look pretty similar nowadays anyway, so I don't see much of an issue with it.

I hear it will be about 249.99 or so. :p Cuz nintendo wants people to be able to buy it, but u never know.

I hate the wii, that's all their is too it. So I don't understand the point of a Wii U, unless it's people fapping over graphics. I mean, yeah, graphics are cool, but they don't make the game. And it's pretty much just another handheld game if the screen is in the controller ya know? If looking up at a tv is that much trouble then you shouldn't be playing games in the first place.

I don't really think I want a Wii U. Yet, anyway. The library is quite weak in my opinion. Same with 3DS. I think it would be better to wait for some more games to come out for both.

Also, call me nitpicky, but this is the single reason I dislike the Wii and Wii U more than other consoles. THE DISK DRIVE. I know I'm not the only one who has a problem with this. The GameCube had the best disk drive I've ever seen on a console. You can open it even when its unplugged, and its very easy to clean.

The Wii and Wii U's, however, are the kind where you slide the disk in. Wanna put a disk in? Gotta turn it on, and it'll still turn itself on as soon as you put one in. Wanna take a disk out? Turn it on and hope to whatever deity you believe in that the F@#$ eject button works. Is the disk drive dirty? Too damn bad. Get the Q-tips and slide it around the inside, and get ready to look like a jackass doing it. Little siblings stick something inside? You're screwed.

Come on developers. Make a new console with a disk drive like the GameCube's, and I will love you forever. Maybe.

I agree, I would be so afraid of dropping the disk or having it on it's side, cause the xbox had a lot of side disk problems causeing them to knock around and scratch.

I think the tray-less feature was a thing from some of us Muricans not knowing how to use one and busting either the CD tray or CD while trying to use it. Not only that but it looks more sophisticated. I personally hate the shit out of trayless CD ROMs. I have no idea which side faces me ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S ON THE SIDE.



I agree with the GameCube thing. Though mine has never needed a clean, I can tell that cleaning it would be simple.

It's like hold school CD players, u just open the top and swab the lens out. Although, I would really hope that no one was stupid enough to let a small child stick stuff inside the cd slot, it could shock them ._.
