Looks like we're FINALLY seeing some Romance in Skyward Sword!

Recently a trailer was released for Skyward Sword. This one is different then the others, it features very little gameplay, but instead, lots of clips from cutscenes from the game. And you'd have to be a complete IDIOT not to see what they're implying. Take a look at it.




So yeah, looks like we'll finally be seeing some freaking Romance between Link and Zelda, at least something that definitely isn't implied. For someone like me, who's been hopeful for something like this for awhile, I find it quite exciting. I could just be a sappy romance lover though, BUT HEY who's judging....

Eugh. Link and Zelda? What kind of crack pairing is that! Why did the creators ever think that anyone would ship that???

Why is this bad? They were ment for eachother and it was gonna happen sooner or later. I'm excited and I can't wait to see how the game plays. And they aren't a crack pairing, why the hell would Link and Zelda smoke crack?

It's not mario, Espe was being sarcastic, and I don't get linkers' problem with it. Besides, this makes a WHOLE lot of sense, because they're childhood friends instead of a random princess.

The only problems I see with those two being together is this: Suppose one of those two get obsessed and bye-bye winning streak on the battle. Congrats, love has won over logic, as it always does.


The Zelda fanbase is divided into many opinions, shippings, theories, and extremeists, that it's nearly impossible to satisfy the crowd. The ZeLink "section" of this body we call the fanbase will be satisfied, whereas, say, the LinkxDark Link "section" will have a total ragefit and boycott, thus costing Nintendo. If they do yaoi, not only will the American families protest, but so will the ones who believe in LinkxFemale. That costs Nintendo. We do realistic Zelda, the ToonBrats boycott. We do Toon Zelda, and the Realists mumble and grumble. (Yeah, cat-eyes and wolfboy are beginning to annoy me with seeing those two constantly) Basicly, Miyamoto can't satisfy the entire fanbase, no matter how hard he tries. These reactions are almost expected. Some will be the uttermost happy, where others where be pissed. One man's pleasure is another's hell.

The Link-Dark Link fans know for a fact that it will NEVER HAPPEN, because Dark Link isn't actually considered a character, since he's an enemy who shows up, like, once.

1. Yes, you are right. Those are bound to kill one another, not suck their faces off.


2. Dark Link has appeared in at least 3 games. (Off the top of my head, Zelda 2, Ocarina of Time, Four Swords Adventures, and a small appearance in TP, but was not combative.) He respawns in Four Swords Adventures, you meet him countless times. In Ocarina, it's only once, and in Zelda 2, he's a final "test". So no, it's not only once. But he's got an enjoyable fight, I must say.

I meant to say once per very occasional game, sorry. But yeah, that's what I was getting at.

Nintendo: The only people who can make romance in a game cute, not irritating.

Square Enix does it well, and there are a few singular games here and there that do it well.
