Music of the ages!

Lets face it guys! We're lucky enough to be the sole guardians of the Legend of Zelda and all her music. The series who even in game displays the magical properties of her songs! The series who's main theme has been voted greatest video game theme by nearly 20 different sources for the past 20 years! From the very beginning Koji Kondo has worked to bring us amazing soundtracks every game!

So the question I ask you.... WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ZELDA THEME! And why?

What? Can't choose! Then give us a couple of examples why, maybe send us a link to some of your favorite remixes or remixers! This is the Zelda music topic! Post anything you want about it!







...as for me...I'm one of those types that really can't pick a favorite theme persay. Though I should note as I always do that Project ZREO has some of the BEST Zelda rearrangments there are! I highly recommend it! http://www.zreomusic.com/

I personally LOVE the OoT Hyrule Field theme. It's just so.... EPIC!!!!! I love it because there's the epic, adventury parts, scary, intense parts, and the pretty, relaxing ending. Nothing says Zelda more than that song.

I'm more on the side of Mogerla's theme, and Blitzza's second theme.

The Final hour musioc for some reason. shape or form.

I'm sticking old school to the Palace Theme in Zelda II! If I had a cellphone, it would be my ringtone

I'm sorry, but I can't see how you guys can pick favorites so easily! There are just to many epic themes out there! I'll tell you what my favorite them would be! If an epic orchestra could get together and made a medley of every major Zelda theme to date!

Zelda: Overworld (Same for aLttP, MM, MC, FS, and FSA.)
The Adventure of Link: Overwold
Link's Awakening: Overworld (Slightly different from the original, but the same remix as the Overworld them in OOA and OOS)
Ocarina of Time: Hyrule Field
Windwaker: Sailing Theme
Twilight Princess: Hyrule Field
Phantom Hourglass: Sailing theme (Slightly different from WW's Sailing theme)
and
Spirit Tracks: Train Ride theme

It would have to have everyone of those to be awesome! Of course, not in that order... But you get the idea!

Legend of Zelda-Title Song and Overworld Theme

Zelda II-Palace Theme

LttP-Lost Woods, Dark World Overworld Theme. Flute Boy's Song, Kakariko Village (I perfer the 8-16 bit on then the newer ones)

OoT-Title Theme, Lost Woods, Windmill Theme, Gerudo Desert theme, Fire Temple Theme (Only really in the 64 version cause in the GC version, they took the singingish out)

MM-Clock Town 1+2 days, Termina field Theme, Stone Tower (up-side Right)

WW-Dragon Roost Island Theme, Sailing Theme, The King's Theme that plays when he appears

TP-Overworld Theme, Sacred Grove Theme

For some reason, I don't like the sailing theme for Wind Waker..... It just seems to get annoying.....
But in my opinion, some of the best music from Zelda is all of the dungeon themes. Like Wind and Earth Temples from WW, or City in the Sky from TP. For some reason, I love those songs.

Actually I agree. The dungeon music in alot of games is fun to listen too

I can still remember how creeped out OOT's dungeon themes left me!

The suden traps in the Shadow Temple made me s*** bricks the first time I played.

It's too hard to pick a favorite. One song that I like (and I think everyone likes) is Gerudo Valley from OoT.

Yeah. catchy, and had a good beat to it.

That's one of those songs that REALLY stuck with you once you put the game down! I'm pretty sure there isn't a Zelda fan alive who doesn't love that theme!

I like the Zelda Metal Remixes I come across. Who WOULDN'T want to be healed w/ the Song of Healing, played by an electric guitar?

So many choices <3 OoT Hyrule Field theme for one. SC got the reasons spot on.

I absolutely love the WW soundtrack. I never loved battle music until I heard the fight with Molgera. And Dragon Roost...-shivers- Makes me want to get up and GO. Outset and Windfall, which remind me of home, are awful nice too. Song of Time just brings me back and Zelda's lullaby (and the Song of Healing) calm me. One also lives up to it's name and puts me to sleep.

And does anyone know ZREO's pet project, WZMR? Coolest. Radio station. Ever. They're in the midst of rebuilding it but you can still tune in on iTunes.

WZMR is heavily connected to ZREO, but not a pet project. It is it's own thing ran by other people. And yes. Yes we have. Infact! I think LZF4 should like, affiliate us with WZMR! It's amazing!

On a side note, ZREO does infact have a couple of pet projects it IS working on though. Open Symphony for those outside the ZREO team who want to contribute. Soundscapes, to make things a little more ambiant. Battle Scapes! Adding voice to their many songs to create more feeling and purpose. And the new Twilight Symphony which sounds very promising.

Unlike the majority of OoT fans, the Forest Temple theme is one of my favorite OoT soundtracks. It's so beautiful and so calming. and great.

The director is ebuch who's a member of the ZREO staff, I know that much. "Parent site", that's what they call ZREO. That'd be so awesome if he affiliated us with them! XD I do keep up with the site and am aware of those projects. (but thank you for telling us) I love the soundscapes, especially the Spirit Tracks intro and Outset Island.

I agree! And I new one of the Zreo team was apart of WZMR, but I didn't know he OWNED it! I guess I stand corrected!

And I liked all of OOT's dungeon themes! They were all really enchanting in one way or another, some creepier than others! Listen to them all, back to back! you'll see what I mean.

I have the soundtrack dude, I know what you mean. (Forest temple is my favorite). But, I absolutely refuse to listen to Jabu Jabu. -shivers-

I dont think I could pick a specific favorite song, but I loved the score from links awakening. Everything about it made you feel like you were walking in a dream world even before you found out you actually were.

Especially Ballad of the Wind Fish.
