Zelda's 25th

Yep. This year marks Zelda's 25th anniversary. 25 years ago, gamers first popped that wonderful golden cartridge into their NESes. Thus began the golden age of Hyrule.
Fast forward 25 years. We now have 13 Zelda games, all instant classics, and two more on the way this year; Skyward Sword, and Ocarina of Time 3DS. Thanks for 25 great years Link.
So, what's your first memory of a Zelda game?

My first memory? I can't remember. I know I played LttP first, but never got fair. So my first memory was when my grandma went the first day OoT came out and I watched my uncle play it on the achient tv we still have.

My first memory of Zelda is standing at the video store, too afraid of the monsters to try it out. Therefore, overcoming one's fears are very beneficial.

As Zelda fans, we get three, maybe even four, possible dates we get to celebrate!
September 23, (1889) Nintendo's Birthday -This year will be it's 122nd anniversury.
February 21, (1986) Zelda's Birthday -This year will be it's 25th anniversury.
And
November 16, (1952) Shigeru Miyamoto's Birthday -This year will be his 59th birthday.
Celebrating November 21, (1998) as Ocarina of Time's birthday -making it 13 this year- is entirely optional.

i dont remember what my first memory was. @_@ i know that the first game i played was oracle of seasons! i borrowed it from my older brother and played it on a yellow game boy color! lol

My first memory was when i was playing A Link to the Past on an emulator on my pc. I was about 6-7 at the time so i had no idea what the hell i was doing.

My first memory of Zelda? Majora's Mask at the annoying auto-reseting Gamecube at McDonalds. To this day, I have never made it past the first general area. I SUCKED.

My first memory was when I was about 7... My cousin I handed me a Nintendo64 controller and put in a golden cartridge.... I beat her fishing record in OoT.
